Proficiency in asana instruction and inspirational talks are not the only skills of effective yoga teachers.

The great yoga teacher has a breadth of wisdom from inside their own skin that emanates because of its inherent truth. They are true to their word, honest and honor their personal experience while facilitating the varied experiences of their students. They provide as safe a space as possible for students at every level- physically, emotionally and psychologically. They honor their own boundaries and limitations. They keep diving, growing. But where do we begin? What is the ground of this capacity? What is the deep current that needs developing for all this to shine through?

This.

Here.

This is the Jedi training you have been waiting for.

Enrollment is Now open until october 30th!

This course fills in gaps found in both our traditional learning systems, and believe it or not, a lot of traditional yoga teacher trainings. We tend to be largely illiterate in our somatic and emotional awareness. Yoga is one of our leading strides in rekindling that proficiency. Yet, I find many blind-spots within our studies and trainings in yoga that limits our ability to regain and re-member our inherent somatic and emotional intelligence.

After all, emotions and movement are inextricably linked.

As a yoga practitioner you might come to the mat for any number of reasons. For healing, for health, for resolution, for trying something new, for a workout. Rarely are we fully aware of all that lies within us under the surface of our shapes and breath. When these feelings, and memories and thought patterns as well as even patterns emerge out of the deepening of practice you might be surprised, curious or even afraid. Some of you experience so much emergent information you did not feel safe to return to yoga. Some of you want and chase this experience, yet have few tools to actually integrate the intensity of what is elicited back into the fabric of your healthy resilient whole Self.

As a yoga teacher you might be finding you are now being called to be and do more in your role as a yoga teacher. You may be feeling the pull to offer classes that are more trauma aware and resiliency based. You may be finding that in these turbulent times more people are turning to you and the yoga practice for solace. How can you serve them with a full heart, stay within your role as teacher and offer something of value and healing?

Being well prepared to teach asana does not always mean being skilled in teaching the person practicing.

The edge is to go deeper and offer more as teachers but to do so without thinking we are therapists.

The edge is to navigate our own rough seas and return again and again to ourselves.

Building a literacy from the inside out on our Psychological, Social and Emotional development is truly needed for yoga to give us all it can offer. And of course, yoga helps cultivate these skills too.

Learn to read inside your own skin.

Read your room better outside yourself .

In this course we will develop inner backbone, emotional bandwidth, psychological and conceptual understanding of human growth and development, as well as deeply satisfying interpersonal skills.
